How this budget estimate works

The calculator turns a revenue goal into a budget in three steps:

  1. Orders needed = revenue goal ÷ average order value
  2. Clicks needed = orders ÷ conversion rate
  3. Budget = clicks × average cost per click

It also shows the ROAS that budget implies. Compare it to your break-even ROAS. If the implied ROAS is below break-even, the goal isn't profitable at those assumptions, and you need a higher conversion rate, higher order value or lower CPCs. Find your break-even point with the break-even ROAS calculator.

Getting realistic inputs

  • Use your real store conversion rate and average order value from the last 90 days.
  • Get CPC estimates from Keyword Planner or from your past campaigns.
  • New campaigns usually start less efficiently and improve as bidding learns, so plan a ramp-up period.
